Fervent religious art from the dark side of the moon, bestowment presents a solemn occasion in the life of one very devoted reptile; copiously imagined and beautifully rendered by *larkin-art. ( Featured by SRaffa )

Forgive me for I am not too religious, I am trying to understand the story here... Does the hare have the reptile under control by holding her offspring?

no worries, it isn't a religious piece in any conventional sense...
Nope, she's giving the dinosaur a tadpole to care for and to help it change and grow.

Oh okay. Is there some kind of symbol as to why it's a Hare and a dino? Does it have to do with the warm and cold blood?

I wish I could write a critique about it... XD

I guess you could read that into it- these are animals I chose for their traditional and (more importantly) personal symbolic qualities...that's too much to go into here, but all are welcome to apply their own interpretation to the images- that's what art is all about! :excited:

it's about 8 x 10", and I used mostly microns. and white chalk and a smidge of acrylic of the highlights.

i guessed right on the money for the size. maybe because the style has such a classic feeling i thought maybe dip pens. but it's the 21st century, right! great gallery as well.

dip pens woulda been much cooler...if I ever seriously get back into pen and ink (lotsa acrylic these days) I'll seriously consider it...
