Artist's Comments

she wandered out into the world
to find the truth ungilded
and as the paths of lies unfurled
she found herself bewildered

she dug a hole in which to hide
and locked the gate above
the more she found to learn outside
the less she knew to love.

Oh wow... I had no idea the sketch would become this! Simply beautiful!!! The texture in the wall and floor is absolutely amazing. It keeps the eye busy. You already know how much I love the pose of the woman,.... but I had no idea how good it would look when in color. You gave her so much volume,.... this whole piece just came alive! I really like that mirror (I think that's what it is) above her head reflecting a flower instead of her body. Gorgeous. :)

This is great. I really admire the way your work is so intricately drawn, yet how your colours are so vivid (not muddied, i.e.). There are never any lazy areas either! The subject matter is always intriguing also. I don't know if it's intentional but the hand over her shoulder looks a bit deformed to me (almost footlike). It enhances the effect, very unsettling. She looks like she'd fit unobtrusively into my Hellraiser story. Very nicely done over all. Poignant little poem, too. Yours?
I like that you've been doing these more rugged peices lately- I really love the viens and hue of her skin as well as the hair :3
a week well worth it from the looks
the veins on the hands and feet and just the imperfections of the body in general are done fantastically.
God, this is amazing.
thanks very much!:Dthanks for the fav as well
