Paranoid by larkin-art Paranoid by larkin-art
A submission for Hyaena Gallery's "the Wreckard Show"- wherein the artists have to illustrate one of their favorite album covers (with no regard, good or bad, for the original cover).
I chose Black Sabbath's Paranoid. It rocks. You know it does.

acrylic on wood, mixed media crochet border. 17 x 17".

Stock for the portrait found here- thanks, Meltys! [link]

fullview for bigness, or if you really want to see it up close, check it out here- [link]

thanks for looking. :skull:

:iconiloveyouplz: Incredible work as always. Threre are so many creepy aspects to this, but for some reason the bulging eye on the right side of her face kicks it right on over into horror for me

Whoa. Talk about dynamic. Totally did not expect this as I was scrolling down. It's not so much the elements that for some are supposed to function as a shock factor, it's really the subtlety of that expression... gets ME paranoid, like how I laugh when other people are laughing >___> it's the best way I can put it. Smashing stuff my friend!

thanks a lot, Katie! :)
Yeah, exactly- there's also the condition that the beasties really pose no threat beyond the "what the hell is this?" factor- they have no teeth an the looks on their faces aren't even exactly menacing.
but EEEWWW! you can see their little brains!
paranoia embodies a sense of threat when really there is none there (otherwise it's danger, not paranoia) that's what i tried to portray here. I like your observations. :)
